Buying the right plant is only half the battle — proper installation makes the difference between a plant that thrives and one that struggles. At Plant It Tampa Bay, we don't just deliver plants and trees, we install them correctly so they establish strong roots and flourish in your Tampa Bay landscape.
Why Professional Installation Matters
Even the healthiest plant can fail if it's planted at the wrong depth, in the wrong soil, or without proper watering at establishment. Our team knows Tampa Bay's soils, drainage patterns, and microclimates — and we use that knowledge to give every plant the best possible start.
- Correct planting depth: Too deep or too shallow are the most common causes of plant failure
- Soil preparation: We amend Tampa Bay's sandy soils as needed to improve drainage and nutrient retention
- Proper spacing: We plan for mature size so your landscape looks great for years, not just at planting
- Watering at installation: Every plant gets a deep soak at planting to eliminate air pockets and kickstart root establishment
- Mulching: We mulch around every plant to retain moisture and protect roots during Tampa Bay's hot summers
